Poll conducted in the Volta and Oti regions reveals that the former President John Mahama, the main opposition leader, is likely to carry the regions with 66% of the votes if the election were A held today compared to the incumbent, President Nana Akuffo Addo. However, the polls show that John Mahama will carry the regions with 76% votes in a probable run off with Nana earning 24%.
The president’s approval rating in the regions is only 24% and over 70% of voters believe the country is heading in the wrong direction.
The poll was conducted between 27th June – 5th July 2020 at a 95% confidence level and MOE of ±4.875%.
